Flood and Civil Consultant
We have an exciting opportunity for a Flood and Civil Consultant to join our Norwest or CBD team. The flood consultant will oversee and deliver flood impact assessments and flood emergency response plans in a friendly and supportive team, with a growing market leader.

Responsibilities
- Clear communication of flood conditions, government compliance requirements and the impacts of proposed development on flood conditions for upstream and downstream properties
- Project coordination with wider development team
- Successfully achieve deadlines and milestones
- Managing communications between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders while ensuring the delivery of quality and timely solutions
- Preparation of flood studies, floodplain management plans and risk assessments
- Civil Urban Design experience in Civil 3d/12d for public domain space
- Invoicing and budgeting of projects
- Ensure quality control processes are implemented and documented
- Participate and positively contribute to meetings and workshops
- Adoption, promotion and adherence to the Orion’s Quality Management (QMS) and Work Health & Safety (WHS) Systems.
Skills and Expertise
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields
- 3+ year’s experience in civil engineering and flood management-related projects
- Technical proficiency with software packages related to hydraulic modelling and GIS, including TUFLOW, RORB, HEC_RAS, ARCGIS, MIKE, CIVIL 3D and 12D
- Strong project and client management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and a willingness to take on new challenges.
